Walden Pond
Walden Pond is the site where Henry David Thoreau spent a portion of his life during which he developed and lived out some of his philosophies and ideas about conservation and living well.
As of 2025, the park was under construction but they still wanted to charge $30 for a non-resident of Massachusetts to visit. Pay it if you want but this is one site where the location itself is not really the learning focus. It would be better to just read the book.
Playlist of videos about the area and Henry David Thoreau. The first video contains images from the pond accompanied by a reading from the book by Thoreau.
